History of Russian literature of the XX century (literary life in the Soviet Union; history of literature, journalism and culture, Russian emigration of the first half of the 20th century); the Baltic-Russian relations; the biography and work of Boris Pasternak; Russian Berlin in 1921–1923; Russian literature in interwar Poland; poetics; the history of Russian literature.
