Foreign literature and literary theory, anthropology, intellectual history, the history of everyday life, the history of emotions, current trends in humanities, post-Soviet artistic practices.
Professional service:
Founder and editor-in-chief of the journal Novoe literaturnoe obozrenie and the publishing house of the same name; philologist, cultural historian, public figure, presenter of her own programs on radio and television. Initiator of the creation of the Mikhail Prokhorov Charitable Foundation (2004). The Foundation participated in the “Year of Russia in France” program, during which the project “Unknown Siberia” (2010) was presented; supported the International Conference “Kandinsky and the Performance Theater. Dialogues with Contemporary Art” at the Moscow Art Theater (2017), the project of Eduard Steinberg “If water lives in a well ...” at MMOMA (2017).
Honorary titles and awards:
Winner of the State Prize in the nomination “Best Educational Project” (2002), the Liberty Award for contribution to the development of Russian-American cultural ties (2003), the Andrei Bely Award (2006), Knight of the French Order of Literature and Fine Arts (2005).

Knight of the Legion of Honor (2012), Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2013).
