The collection includes research articles and publications of archival documents from the Department of Manuscripts and A.M. Gorky Archive of A.M. Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the State Archives of the Russian Federation. Archival publications are provided with a textological introduction and academic commentary. The articles cover the content of little-known collections, which highlights the historical and literary process of the first post-revolutionary decades of the 20th century in Russia (i.e. collections of the State Publishing House, the All-Russian Union of Composers and Playwrights, the All-Russian Association of Peasant Writers), as well as collections of personal origin (Demyan Bedny, A.N. Chicherin, K.A. Lipskerov, K.F. Piskunov collections).
